We are seeking a
SENIOR CREDIT ANALYST

 

FUNCTION:

Analyze borrower’s and potential borrower’s financial statements and communicate findings in concise, accurate reports on all new loan requests and examination of existing relationships.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze financial information, such as statements, management reports and cash flow statements to identify potential risk factors, determine borrower’s financial capacity and prepare loan proposals for presentation on all new, renewal and extension loan requests.
  2. Obtain credit bureau reports adhering to policy guidelines.
  3. Collaborate with lending staff to ensure all relevant factors are considered.
  4. Incorporate knowledge of industry trends and risk characteristics into rating assignments, assuring consistent and accurate risk quantification.
  5. Apply the impact of the economic conditions to the industry in assessing quality of complex credit relationships, particularly those in real estate construction and development industry.
  6. Demonstrate thorough understanding and compliance of the Bank’s loan policy.
  7. Create and prepare various reports, graphs and/or charts as requested by management.
  8. Provide guidance and on-the-job training to new and existing employees.
  9. Act in team leader capacity in the absence of the AVP Credit Analyst.
  10. Identifying potential areas of concern and recommending changes to the loan policies and procedures to meet regulatory compliance standards.
  11. Responsible for communicating daily Federal Home Loan Bank and periodic Wall Street Journal change in rates to Loan Servicing.
  12. Ensure that appropriate compliance training is completed and own work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.
  13. Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in accounting/finance or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. 5+ years previous credit analysis experience.
  2. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting, mathematical concepts and loan documents.
  3. Ability to apply business skills in financial statement and credit analysis.
  4. Strong analytical and assessment skills for interpretation and presentation of results.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with or without the use of interpretive devices.
  6. Strong PC literacy and proficient Microsoft Office skills specifically in MS Word and Excel.
  7. Ability to use general office equipment such as computer, phone, fax, copier, calculator, etc., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  8. Ability to be in continual motion for long periods of time by standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, pushing and pulling as well as using repetitive motion of wrist, elbow and shoulder.
  9. Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 20 lbs.
  10. Strong ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision in a “team” environment.
