Joseph B. Reilly

Mr. Reilly is the Co-Founder and President/CEO of the Bank and has over 27 years of experience in the New Hampshire banking industry. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Lending Officer for a former “start-up” community bank, known as Centerpoint Bank. Upon the acquisition of Centerpoint Bank, Mr. Reilly assumed a senior management position as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking with Bank of New Hampshire, an affiliate of the Banknorth Group, Portland, Maine. Prior to joining Centerpoint in 1990, Mr. Reilly was employed in various capacities for 12 years at Fleet Bank. Mr. Reilly holds an MBA degree from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire. Mr. Reilly is a former Chairman and current Director for the New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA); Chairman of the NHBA Legislative Committee; the State of New Hampshire Captain for Team 21, a national organization of the American Bankers Association (ABA); and, a member of the Government Relations Council of the ABA. Locally, Mr. Reilly serves as Director of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Board of Catholic Medical Center. He served six years on the Board of Heritage United Way, including positions of Chairman and Annual Campaign Chairperson. He is an Incorporator of the Manchester Regional Community Foundation, and remains active in other community events. |
Lucy T. Gobin

Ms. Gobin is the Co-Founder and Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Bank. Ms. Gobin has over twenty years of finance and operations experience in both public and privately held banks, including, Centerpoint Bank and its successor, Community Bankshares, Inc., as well as New Dartmouth Bank and Citizens Bank New Hampshire. Prior to Centrix Bank, she was the State Director of Finance for Citizens Bank where she was responsible for the financial management of over $4.1 billion in assets. Currently, Ms. Gobin serves as a Director for the New England Automated Clearing House (ACH) Association and as a member of the Bankers’ Bank Northeast’s Advisory Board. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Animal Rescue League and volunteers for the Jimmy Fund. Ms. Gobin holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Johnson State, and an Associates degree in business administration from Lyndon State. |
David Cassidy, Jr.

Mr. Cassidy has substantial knowledge of both finance and the local marketplace, and serves as the Executive Vice President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer of the Bank. Mr. Cassidy is responsible for the overall direction and quality of the loan portfolios. Prior to joining Centrix, he held the positions of Senior Vice President and Commercial Team Leader at the Bank of New Hampshire located in Bedford. Previous to that, Cassidy was Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer for CFX Bank (previously Centerpoint Bank) in Bedford, and Assistant Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, and Commercial Credit Analyst at North Conway Bank in North Conway. Cassidy is involved in a number of organizations including the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Manchester, The American Red Cross, and the Bethany Covenant Church of Bedford. |
Stephen Witt, Jr.

Mr. Witt brings over eighteen years of banking experience to our full-service branch located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Mr. Witt is responsible for overseeing business development and lending operations for the Seacoast region. Prior to joining Centrix, Witt was Senior Lender at the $1.1 billion Granite Bank, following a series of steady promotions from Branch Manager to Vice President. Witt is actively involved with local organizations, and currently serves as a Trustee for the Mark Wentworth Home, and is one of the founding board members of the First Tee of the Seacoast. Witt is also a member of the Portsmouth Rotary Club, and actively volunteers his time as a coach for soccer, basketball and baseball for the Town of North Hampton. |
Debra R. Hallett

Ms. Hallett has been a banking professional for more than twenty-six years. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, commercial, consumer, construction, and home equity lending. Prior to joining Centrix, Hallett held the position of Portfolio Manager at NH Business Development Corporation in Manchester. In this position, she managed an SBA 7A Portfolio, as well as performed underwriting and loan servicing. Previously, she was Commercial Operations Manager/Assistant Vice President of Concord Savings Bank (acquired by CFX Bank in September 1997) in Concord. Between 1990-1996 she held positions as Commercial Lending Assistant, Loan Administration Manager, and Consumer Loan Officer/Construction Loan Administrator with Centerpoint Bank (which merged with Community Bankshares in March of 1996). Her past community affiliations include a position on the Loan & Credit Committee of the Manchester Neighborhood Housing Trust, the Consumer Credit Association (CCA) and the United Way. |
Anthony J. Chismark

Mr. Chismark is a career banker with 30+ years of commercial lending experience. In joining Centrix, Mr. Chismark left Banknorth, where he was a Vice President/Team Leader for the Andover, Massachusetts region. He has served in similar capacities for several New Hampshire banks in the past. Mr. Chismark graduated from Mt. St. Mary's College majoring in Business Administration. He subsequently graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware and attended the International Banking Summer School in Dublin, Ireland. He serves as the Treasurer and is a member and chairman for various committees for Granite State Management & Resources, a division of New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation. He is also a Trustee of the Manchester Police Foundation. Mr. Chismark is a past Board member and volunteer for the American Cancer Society, as well as several other community and charitable organizations. |
Wayland C. Elwood

Mr. Elwood is a 26-year veteran of the financial industry. Prior to joining Centrix, he held positions as Vice President/Field Credit Officer at Fleet Bank. Throughout his career, Elwood also served as Business Development Officer, Commercial Loan Underwriter, Commercial Loan Officer, Branch Loan Officer and Branch Manager. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, a member of the Londonderry Grange and serves as secretary to the Greater Derry Kiwanis Club. Elwood has also served as treasurer of the Greater Derry Chamber of Commerce as well as chairperson of the Business Technology Committee for the Webb Palmer Vocational Center at Alvirne High School. |
Sean E. Fitzgerald

Mr. Fitzgerald is an experienced lending officer with over ten years of experience in commercial banking. Mr. Fitzgerald serves as the Loan Officer at our Loan Production Office in Dover, New Hampshire. Sean has held positions of Vice President-Commercial Loan Officer with Granite Bank in the Durham office, Assistant Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer, Credit Manager, and Credit Analyst. Mr. Fitzgerald holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of New Hampshire – Durham. Fitzgerald is currently a member of the Dover Rotary Club, serves on the Board of Directors of Dover Main Street Program, and is actively involved in the capital campaign for the New Hampshire Children's Museum in Dover. He is a graduate of the Class of Leadership Seacoast. |
Brian Lavoie

Mr. Lavoie is an experienced lending professional with over nine years of banking background in commercial lending, business development and credit analysis. Mr. Lavoie is located in the Bedford office serving the greater Manchester area and surrounding marketplace. Prior to his employment with Centrix Bank, Lavoie was Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer for Citizens Bank New Hampshire in Manchester. Mr. Lavoie holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire, in addition to completing the Loan Officer Development Program at Citizens Bank. He has earned the designation of Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) through the National Economic Development Council and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member for Granite State College. Lavoie serves on the Advisory Board and Finance committee of the Greater Manchester Salvation Army. |
Barry Leonard

Mr. Leonard has been in the financial industry for over six years. Prior to joining Centrix, Mr. Leonard held the position of Business Specialist II at Fleet Bank in Bedford. While at Fleet, he managed small business client portfolios and was an active volunteer with the United Way, Special Olympics and Fleet works in the community. Prior to his position with Fleet Bank, Mr. Leonard interned with Merrill Lynch in Manchester. Mr. Leonard currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Manchester Chapter of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Foundation. |
Heather J. Leach

Ms. Leach joins the Bank as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer at our Milford branch, bringing over 14 years of experience as a banking officer in Southern New Hampshire to service the Amherst/Milford market. Prior to joining Centrix, Heather was Vice President - Commercial Loan Officer for Ocean National Bank and Vice President - Commercial Loan Officer and Assistant Vice President - Commercial Workout Officer for Bank of New Hampshire. Ms. Leach holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Ball State University and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Indiana University. She is a member of the Parents Advisory Group for the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley, and a former board member of the Club. She is also a former member of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Nashua Pastoral Care Center. |
Glenn P. Grande

Mr. Grande joins the Bank at our full service office in Portsmouth with over three decades of banking experience, nearly all of it in the commercial lending area. Getting his commercial loan training at Bank of America, his assignments included Commercial Lender in the US Virgin Islands and in San Diego, California. Returning to New England, Glenn’s work history includes Vice President, Commercial Lending at Bank of Boston in Boston and Portland, Maine; Vice President and Regional Manager at Centerpoint Bank in Portsmouth; and, previous to Centrix, eight years as Vice President, Commercial Lending at Chittenden Bank, also in Portsmouth. Glenn is a graduate of University of New Hampshire. Over the last 20 years, he has been involved with a number of national non-profit organizations. |
Donna M. Briggs

Ms. Briggs brings over 14 years of mortgage lending experience in the local marketplace to Centrix Bank. She will be servicing all construction loan projects for the Bank. Donna most recently has been a self-employed Mortgage Broker for the last 10 years with Birt and Briggs Mortgage Consultants, LLC. Prior to this timeframe, for the previous 4 years, she was a Mortgage Loan Officer with First Alliance Bank and Trust in addition to Graystone Mortgage Corp. Donna has been active in the community with children’s athletics programs. |
Joyce P. Baldassare

Ms. Baldassare has over 20 years of banking and sales experience with demonstrated strength in financial and cash management advising, sales and marketing, and business development. Before joining Centrix Bank, Ms. Baldassare worked for Citizens Bank of NH as a Business Banking Officer developing relationships with businesses in the Seacoast area, with a promotion to Vice President in the Government and Not-for-Profit area. Joyce was responsible for relationship management for NH and Maine government entities and not-for-profits, including colleges, universities, the healthcare industry and nationally recognized non-profit service organizations. Ms. Baldassare has a Masters of Business from Northeastern University with an undergraduate degree in Hospital Administration from University of Rochester. Joyce’s civic involvement includes volunteer work for the American Cancer Society, Community PTA, and Manchester’s Food bank; serving on boards for Children and Family Services and Capital Center for the Arts; and, participating on local, educational committees such as the Parent Child program at the Concord VNA. |
Deborah A. Morin

Ms. Morin is a financial professional with more than fifteen years analytical and systems experience. She has a variety of skills including project management and consolidation/problem solving in both accounting and finance environments. A graduate of Plymouth State College, Morin has held multiple management positions in her banking career. Beginning with Shawmut Bank in Manchester (formerly New Dartmouth Bank) in the late 1980's, she began as a Staff Auditor and later held the positions of Financial Analyst, Assistant Vice President, Financial Systems; Assistant Vice President, Asset/Liability; and Systems Specialist. In 1996, she became Assistant Vice President/Assistant Controller at Bank of New Hampshire. Morin developed a balancing procedure for the Federal Reserve resulting in minimal write-offs. |

Ms. Schmidt-Brandt has been a banking professional for more than twenty years. She is responsible for the branch operations of the Bank's five locations. Ms. Schmidt-Brandt's areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, commercial services, consumer services and cash management. Prior to joining Centrix Bank, Schmidt-Brandt was assistant vice president and branch manager at First Essex Bank in Manchester, formerly held the same position at CFX Bank in Manchester, and was previously officer/branch manager at First NH Bank in the Lakes Region. |
Maurice (Moe) L. Fortier

Mr. Fortier brings to the Bank over 30 years of experience in operations and Information Technology (IT); 25 of those years in the NH banking industry. Mr. Fortier oversees the strategic and day-to-day management and planning of the Bank's Operations and IT division. Most recently, Mr. Fortier held the position of Director of the Resource Center and the Project Management Office for Bottomline Technologies. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Operations and Information Technology at St. Mary's Bank, Manager of Management Information Systems for the State of NH, Health & Human Services Dept., and Vice President of IT for New Dartmouth Bank. |
Pauline A. Renaud

Ms. Renaud brings to Centrix Bank over 28 years of banking experience in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire banks. Currently responsible for Deposit Processing and Electronic Banking, her background extends between Retail and Operations with a concentration in productivity, efficiency, mergers, consolidations and acquisitions. She has managed various departments, such as Check and Deposit Processing, IRA’s, Customer and Legal Research, Statement Rendering, Wires and ACH. Prior to joining Centrix Bank ,Ms Renaud was AVP Retail and Deposit Operations for Butler Bank in Lowell, Massachusetts, overseeing both Branch Administration and Deposit Operations. Throughout her career, she has held such positions as VP Deposit Operations with First Essex Bank; Lowell, MA ; AVP Operations at Concord Savings Bank, Concord, NH; AVP Research and Reconciliation for First NH Bank in Hooksett, NH; and, Branch Manager at Bank of New Hampshire and Item Processing Manager for Indian Head National Bank/Fleet Bank. |
Kathleen M. Stevens

Ms. Stevens joins the bank as the Risk Management Officer, responsible for administering the bank-wide program for risk management, compliance, security, fraud prevention and matters requiring regulatory action. With more than 20 years of experience in the Banking and Insurance arena, Ms. Stevens has held positions in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California, as well as abroad in England where she assisted in opening an Operations Center. Kathleen’s expertise and proficiency include: Project Management, Records Retention & Imaging Manager and Retail Deposit Operations Manager, with training in efficiency studies and Total Quality Management. She is an author of a back-room banking database patent. Ms. Stevens is a graduate of the ABA National School of Compliance. |
Laura J. Okrent

Ms. Okrent brings over 20 years of banking and customer service experience to the Bank and has been recently promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President, Customer Response Officer. Laura has successfully established our Customer Response Center, provides assistance on Deposit Operations projects, and is supporting the Bank’s training program. Her previous experience includes employment at AT&T, First NH Bank, and Healthsource in customer sales and relations, Total Quality Management, operating procedures and philosophies on customer service, and developing staff to meet performance measures. Ms. Okrent came to us from Northeast Delta Dental where she was the Manager, Professional Relations and responded to post-conversion backlog that included identifying issues, understanding the internal systems, educating staff, and implementing procedures for efficiency. Her combination of banking, customer service, training and management experience is an asset to Centrix Bank. |

John J. Clarke, Jr. is a resident of Epping, New Hampshire. Mr. Clarke is co-founder and President of Baldwin & Clarke Corporate Finance, Inc., an investment banking and financial advisory firm, Baldwin & Clarke Capital Markets, Inc., a registered broker/dealer, and a principal and founder of The Baldwin & Clarke Companies, a diversified financial services organization made up of five independent companies. Mr. Clarke was also a former director and incorporator of Centerpoint Bank, Bedford, New Hampshire. Mr. Clarke has served as a trustee and member of a number of civic and non-profit organizations.

Jane E. Hager is a Lyndeborough, New Hampshire resident. In 1977, she founded IGI, Inc. (American Stock Exchange) of Buena, New Jersey. Ms. Hager is also a founder of Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ). She was Director and Member of the Executive Committee of Fleet Bank-New Hampshire and Chairman of JH Development Corp. in Amherst, New Hampshire for over 10 years. She currently is President of Prescott Investment Corp., Pinnacle Mountain Partners, LLC and managing member of Gulf Coast Investment Partners, LLC, all of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire. She is also a Trustee of the NH Historical Society, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and a Director of the Sweet Briar College.
Walter W. Hemming is a resident of Brookline, New Hampshire. Mr. Hemming is a private investor. He was formerly the CFO for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England and CFO for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, Inc. Mr. Hemming was a former director of Centerpoint Bank and Community Bankshares, Inc. He is a member of the society of CPA’s in the states of New Hampshire and New York and the AICPA.
Gordon H. Lewis, Jr. is a resident of Bedford, New Hampshire. Mr. Lewis is the CEO and President of NETS Electronics, Inc., a computer-based solutions provider for retail industries, with corporate offices located in Bedford, New Hampshire and satellite offices throughout the Northeast. Mr. Lewis began his career with NETS in 1983 as Executive Vice President and became a controlling principal with this company in 1987. Mr. Lewis is a member in good standing with the New Hampshire High Tech Council, a Trustee and board member of the New Hampshire 4-H Foundation, a past member of the board of directors for the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation and a published columnist for several New Hampshire newspapers.

Michael E. Rubin of Lexington, Massachusetts has been a Managing Partner at Rubin, Weisman, Colasanti, Kajko & Stein, LLP since 1978. He has considerable experience in both politics and real estate development and maintains Bar Affiliations with Massachusetts, Florida, New York and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts. He has held positions on the Board of Directors of Lexington Montessori School; Depositors Trust Company; First Mortgage Network; Foreign Motors, West; and, was previously the President of the Massachusetts Association of Bank Counsel. Mr. Rubin currently serves as Director of Project Youth, a non-profit organization.
Michael J. Simchik is a resident of Rye, New Hampshire. Mr. Simchik is an experienced developer/investor in commercial properties and, in that regard, is a Principal of 100 Market Group, Ltd., Capital Commons, LLC and Northern Adelaide Innovation Network Pty Ltd, an Australian-based property and trade development firm. In addition, Mr. Simchik is the founder, President and Managing Director of Standard Supply International, Ltd., an international distributor of engineered mechanical products utilized in the power generation and/or oil and gas exploration industries. Mr. Simchik holds an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, as well as a BA from Colgate University.
Paul D. Spiess is a resident of Amherst, New Hampshire. Mr. Spiess is the founder, President and CEO of Orrin Corporation, a real estate investment and financial consulting firm located in Amherst, New Hampshire. Previously, Mr. Spiess spent 25 years in the banking and financial services industry, most recently as EVP and COO of CFX Bank in Keene, New Hampshire. From 1983 to 1993, he was founder and President of Colonial Mortgage, Inc., of Amherst, New Hampshire. Mr. Spiess is on the Executive Committee of the Citizens Health Initiative and serves as a healthcare advisor to the Governor of New Hampshire. Mr. Spiess received his undergraduate degree from Colby College and an MBA in Finance from Boston University.
Ronald C. Thomashow is a resident of Manchester, New Hampshire. Mr. Thomashow is a stockholder and President of Bigelow & Company, CPA, P.C., a regional accounting firm in which he serves as a tax specialist. Mr. Thomashow has been with the Bigelow firm since 1975, having previously been employed by the accounting firm Ernst & Whinney. Mr. Thomashow is a former director and incorporator of Centerpoint Bank, Bedford, New Hampshire. He is a member of the New Hampshire Society of CPA’s and the AICPA.
William C. Tucker, Esq. is a resident of Goffstown, New Hampshire. Mr. Tucker is an attorney and senior partner in the law firm of Wadleigh, Starr & Peters, P.L.L.C. located in Manchester, New Hampshire. Mr. Tucker specializes in commercial real estate, general corporate and commercial transactions, and bond financings, representing both debtors and creditors alike. Mr. Tucker is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. Mr. Tucker serves as a Trustee and treasurer for the Greater Manchester Family YMCA.
